5 stars to the lady behind the front desk(unfortunately I didn’t get her name). I was very unsatisfied with my initial haircut from Heather and initially it was a very tense moment trying to communicate how to go about fixing it with a lot of miscommunication. At the end of the day there were only minor adjustments that needed to be done to her cut but the way she had styled it had made the flaws I saw really stand out worse to the point where I was not happy at all with the cut.The lady behind the front desk went above and beyond to try and find me a solution to fix the cut with another stylist calling her studio manager, asking other stylists if they could stay late to fix it, and checking other ways to get me back in when heather got frustrated and refused to do anything more.Ultimately Carly was able to make the changes I wanted and also was extremely knowledgeable and recognized part of the issue was that my hair needed to be blown out differently. Once she did this we realized there were still changes I wanted but they were far more minor than I originally thought. Also great for me to now know how to ask future stylists to blow out my hair such that it looks the way I expect it to.Danica did my eyebrows and did a great job. They had a small scheduling mishap where I was sent to the hairstylist before here when it should have been vice versa. she was incredibly accommodating and patient with figuring out the logistics there.

Went in for the first time and had an awesome experience! Front desk lady super nice and helped me get a cut within 30 minutes as a walk in. Lisa cut my hair and was very kind and listened to exactly how I wanted it cut. 10/10 Highly recommend!!

this review is longgg overdue but I saw Heather in June for a much needed hair color & bang trim. She was so sweet & did an amazing job covering up my faded copper color to a dark brown, my hair looks so much better & 2 months later the color still looks amazing. She also cleaned up my overgrown bangs and gave me the best French girl bangs. I showed her some photos from my Pinterest & she worked her magic, honestly the cutest bangs, I am so obsessed ! Will definitely be seeing her again for a cut and color refresh.

Lisa did my hair today. The color is lovely and I had the extra service of her showing me how to use a curling iron. She was very detailed and showed me exactly how to use it. As well, I have some c spine issues and she was so accommodating. She was able to pre-shampoo some of the color before I had my head in the sink. She shampooed me quickly and had me out of the sink in quick order. She has a lovely and professional disposition. I highly recommend her.

I am so impressed with my haircut done by Lisa. She really knows how to cut and style beachy wavy hair. I don’t wear it straight and this haircut has given it “new life”. It looks beautiful. Pricey, but it’s an Aveda Salon. Kourtney has probably given me the best haircuts I’ve ever head. She is gentle, personable, and gives great massages when she shampoos and conditions your head. She’s a great hairdresser. I recommend her.

I am black and was anxious about finding a stylist proficient in Afro hair texture. I'm so grateful she is in La Jolla. Aveda is also excellent with scheduling. The location is very convenient.
